IHE Eye Care
The IHE project (Integrating the healthcare enterprise) is a collaboration of medical societies, users (physicians) and vendors. IHE eye care is not a project to develop new standards but to evaluate existing open standards as DICOM, HL7 etc. and make them compatible for “the real world”. The AAO (American Academy of Ophthalmology) is the main sponsor of the IHE Eye Care project. IOTA members support the goals of this international oriented project.
